- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt to taste
Place basil leaves, pine nuts, and peeled garlic cloves in the bowl of a food processor.

Pulse until coarsely chopped.
Add Parmesan cheese and pulse again until mixed.

Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while the food processor is on until the mixture is smooth. Season with salt to taste.

Your basil pesto is ready to serve. If not using immediately, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
